Gross National Happiness

Bhutan, Founder country of Gross National Happiness. which takes a comprehensive coverage based on four pillars of Conservation of culture,Socio-economic development , Environment and Good governance , a step ahead from Graphs and trends of economies which is often argued does not translates to real life scenario. Such Approach which was later adopted at the global Level ,However Very a few countries only have shown courage to emulate it .
~It comprises both Qualitative and quantitative indicators such as Physical, environment , political , Economic , Mental ,social well ness etc. Indirect survey to measure jobless ness claims are also measured.
~UNGA , world Happiness Report which ranks the countries according to similar parameters ranked Denmark as happiest country to live while India performing at 111 even below than Pakistan Bangladesh . Various Factors are responsible for the same
1 Physical wellness and Health for which government entrusted on Schemes Viz RSBY,and Janani Suraksha Yojana . Very little has achieved , and Given incidents like Sterilisation in CG and Eye check in Gurdaspur Punjab weakens the trust toward the Government intents and machinery.
2 Environmental- Although govt. is commited for development but its processes Like Ordinance for the LARR [exemption for SIA]caste doubt on intents whether govt wants to protect or destroy environment
3 Social and Mental- Mental peace is often intrigued by helplessness of Police forces And law and order machinery. While social rights are still not reached till the last men in the queue.
4Political and Economic Wellness- Political wellness in various areas from over 20 years has been ill due to curbing of Fundamental rights through AFSPA , and thus neither Economic nor Political wellness has reached
Due to Above factors , its ranking is below then various Countries which are quarter to India's GDp or, even some countries GDP is even less then Top-honchos Of India.
It shows that government which was entrusted for redistribution of resources for equity in economic development has not been observed.
